2019 iPhone Rumors

In 2019, Apple expects continuation offering iPhones in multiple sizes where there are multiple price points providing customers with choice.

In 2018, as a known fact brought the iPhone XS (5.8 inches), the iPhone XS Max (6.5 inches), and the iPhone XR (6.1 inches). The two XS devices have a higher price tag starts at $999, with the XR price at starting of $749.

We expect a similar lineup in 2019, with a continuation of both the iPhone XS and XR devices, where the rumours suggest we see 5.8 and 6.5-inch OLED iPhones along with a 6.1-inch LCD iPhone.

As a matter of fact, one must note that Apple calls the new iPhones, but iPhone XI or iPhone 11, having with the possibility of iPhone XS successors. Given in the air referring to the upcoming iPhones as the “2019 iPhones” for now.

Rumours thus spread 2019 iPhones, starts before the iPhone XS and XR which even announces and heard quite a few details on what we can expect.

The expectation thus continued where Apple continues using OLED displays for 2019 devices and some rumours suggestive of Apples an all OLED lineup, with the LED displays of the iPhone XR, other rumours believes Apple stick with LEDs because of the high price of OLED displays.

All 2019 iPhones, adopts upgraded A13 chips, from TSMC, Apple’s chip supplier. Chip upgrades typically bring improved performance and efficiency, and the A13 will be no different.

The iPhone XS and XS Max
=====================
Multiple rumors suggests Apple planning to use a triple-lens rear-face camera setup in the 2019 iPhones, capture detailing depth and distance information to enable TrueDepth-style augmented reality functionality.

Hence one is entirely not clear, Apple’s plan, however, at least one rumours suggestive of technology is not the direction of Apple planning to go. If Apple includes a triple-lens camera system in the 2019 iPhones, it supports 3x optical zoom, a possibility with improved image quality, a sure thing.

We see a revamp front-facing TrueDepth camera system, with rumours to suggest either a smaller notch or no notch at all. It is not quite clear how Apple pull off, but some technologies allow for it.

Apple eliminates 3D Touch in the iPhone XR, replaces with a new Haptic Touch feature, rumours suggestive in 2019, iPhone lineup, with 3D Touch sets to removed.

There have some rumours of Apple Pencil support in the 2019 iPhones, allowing devices to work with Apple’s stylus, but heard nothing concrete just yet.

Keep an eye for a roundup, where updates regularized with rumours about the 2019 iPhones ahead of their launch. We expect the 2019 devices debut in September 2019, in line with Apple’s traditional yearly iPhone launch schedule.

===========
Apple deviated standard naming scheme with the iPhone X in 2017, and in 2018, where the iPhone XS and the iPhone XR. Apple went from iPhone 8 to iPhone XR (10R) and we never had an iPhone 9.

With the jump to the “X” name which is difficult to predict Apple call the 2019 iPhones. iPhone XI or iPhone 11 have both possibilities, where what comes after “XR” is yet to solve. Apple’s iPhone names for the last 11 years are below:

With last few years on a roll, where Apple works to bolster its OLED displays supply chain, diversifies purposes for cutting down reliance on Samsung, where the company supplied displays for the iPhone X, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max.

Apple mulled a partnership with Japan Display, where known to have pushed LG Display to build its OLED display for production facilities, purchasing equipment to build an OLED panel research and development site in Taiwan.

The display of the OLED iPhone XS
========================
Apple aims an all OLED lineup in the future, perhaps in 2019, but not clear due to the possibility given the high price of OLED displays.

It is likely 2019 iPhone which lines up look where the 2018 lineup, premium OLED devices offered alongside more affordable LCD options.

3D TOUCH

Barclays analyst, Blayne Curtis, mixed track record, suggestive of all 2019, iPhones with 3D Touch. Apple eliminates 3D Touch in the lower-priced 6.1-inch iPhone XR, and the company plans to remove this feature entirely in the future. The iPhone XS and iPhone XS, Max continued offering support for 3D Touch at this time.

A13 Processor

TSMC as a sole supplier of the next-generation “A13” ships used in the 2019 iPhone lineup, and iPhones coming in the future. The A13 expects to build on TSMC’s 7nm+ package with extreme ultraviolet lithography.

The A13, chip upgrades, should bring performance and efficiency improvements.

Rear Cameras

Rumours suggest Apple working on 3D depth-sensing technology where a rear-facing camera, comes in 2019.

Taiwan’s Economic Daily News, suggestive of 2019 iPhones uses a triple-lens rear-facing camera system offering “more advanced” front-facing TrueDepth camera system a time-of-flight (ToF) depth sensing system.

ToF systems use a laser measures the light between the camera and subject to calculate metrics where the distance and depth, have the TrueDepth camera system uses a dot projection method.

Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, accurately predicts Apple’s plans, is sceptical that the 2019 iPhones include more advanced depth-sensing features,.

Kuo believes distance and depth information at a time-of-flight system currently insufficient in creating “revolutionary AR experience” Apple aims for. He does not believe as it is to provide with better photos, where Apple might not use the technology.

According to Kuo, the AR experiences Apple requires 5G connectivity. This is augmented reality glasses, and a “more powerful Apple Maps database,” with advanced depth-sensing technology.

Front-Facing TrueDepth Camera System

Rumours suggest Apple plans to make changes to the front-facing TrueDepth Camera System enables Face ID in the 2019 iPhones.

Apple introduces a smaller notch combination, front-facing camera and the Face ID sensors a single face recognition module.

Another rumour suggestive is Apple with the introduction of iPhone design. This eliminates the notch entirely. It is not yet clear how Apple accomplishes this feat. This is from Korean news site ET News. This suggests Apple drill holes in the display. This is where the camera equipment or use a patented multi-layer Black matrix display.

Apple plans to introduce an upgraded TrueDepth Camera System with new AR related features. It is in the year 2019, iPhones consume more power, requiring larger batteries.

Apple Pencil Support

A Korean site, The Investor, does not have established a track record for accuracy. This suggested Apple considered offering an Apple Pencil-style stylus in the 2019 iPhone models.

It is not clear of accuracy where Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, is reliable. This is where Apple Pencil supports the possibility for a future iPhone.

Future iPhones

We have heard several other rumours featuring one could come to iPhones in the years beyond 2019.

Apple and Intel rumour to work on 5G hardware widespread rollout of 5G technology, expected in 2020. There is no clarity of 5G hardware. It introduces in 2019 or Apple waits for a 5G more established in 2020.

Apple designers aim to remove most external ports and buttons on the iPhone for a clean, streamlined device. Apple expects to work towards the goal. This is with each iPhone iteration and the first port goes with a Lightning port. This is with a wireless charging technology to improve.

LG’s foldable display technology

Apple develops an iPhone with a foldable display. This is with LG Display panel production for an iPhone. Apple works on touchless gesture controls.  Thus, there are curved screens launch within three years.
