Construction underway for a second building at Apple’s new Austin Campus
Construction work is in full swing, and the most obvious change is the framework of a second building structure situated right next to the first.
Costing $56 million, The initial stage upon completion will produce 200,000 square feet of office space.
After completing phase one in 2015, Apple will move on to phase two, a gigantic project expected to create 800,000 square feet of new space. In totality, the Austin campus expansion is expected to be completed by 2021 end, having set Apple back by $304 million in construction costs.
Rumors say that Apple’s new operations center will create 3,600 odd jobs, which will more than double the company’s existing workforce in Austin. Apple is expected to receive $30 million in tax breaks, for creating new jobs.
