Absinthe For Mac Updated To Fix Errors
Some people have claimed that had trouble in jailbreaking their iPhone 4S or iPad 2 with the Absinthe app. Here is a good news fro them now.
The Chronic Dev Team has just released an update for the Mac version of Absinthe.
This update brings Absinthe to version 0.2 and it is in response to a couple of reported issues with the app. The issues included devices not rebooting after activating its VPN setting, and mysterious white icons.
Planetbeing, one of Absinthe’s developers, announced the update via his Twitter account:
“…Mac version updated. v0.2: Tries to fix no reboot after activating VPN/tapping Absinthe icon. We also tried to fix white icons on SpringBoard after jb.”
Planetbeing said that if you should download an application from Cydia if the white icons are still seen after using the new version of Absinthe. He noted that if Absinthe crashed, you could just restart your device and try it again.
However, if you have successfully jailbroken your iPhone 4S or iPad 2 and if there are no issues, you do not need to download and install this update.
What is your experience of using Absinthe? Did you successfully jailbreak your iPhone 4S and iPad 2? Post your comments.
