Apple Net 66% of Mobile Phone Profits in Q2

Apple has managed to obtain 66.3% of the profits from the mobile phone sector during the Q2 2011.

Horace Dediu of Asymco reports that Q2 has experience a slight decline in entire profit for the sector. But the four companies have failed to gather profits from selling phones like of Nokia, Motorola, Sony-Ericsson and LG. The other companies divide the few profits with Apple by getting two thirds of it (66.3%).

Horace Dediu of Asymco also revealed that the share has gone up from 57% in Q1 and 50% in Q3 and Q4. However Samsung share went to 15%, in Q1 2008 Samsung was at 21% whereas RIM was 11%. Here, the level of this company has remained unchanged for past three years.

Besides the other companies, HTC has managed to get 7.4% a new mark and increase from 6% since last quarter.
