Apple Observes World AIDS Day

Being 1st of December, World’s AIDS Day, Apple contributes towards promoting awareness on HIV AIDS like every year. Throughout retail stores, it makes its mark with Apple-red logos. In addition to that, they have replaced their products in the stores with (PRODUCT) Red versions.

With PRODUCT RED items sold, a fair percentage of the profits is donated to the Global Fund. With a motive to help deliver an AIDS free generation by 2015 Apple along with Starbucks will contribute five percent of the purchase price for every item sold to the Global Fund. (PRODUCT)RED merchandise includes the iPod shuffle, iPod nano, iPod touch, iPad smart cover, iPad smart-case and the iPhone bumper case.
In addition to the retail store aesthetics, Apple places a link of the Red World AIDS Page at the bottom of its site.
