Countries and carriers offering LTE connectivity for iPhones and iPads are listed on Apple’s websites. As of now, 24 countries with 56 carriers support LTE connectivity on the iPhone and 21 countries and 42 carriers support the iPad.
It’s interesting to observe, that China Telecom and China Unicom both don’t support the iPhone or iPad, Whereas Hong Kong has three carriers with LTE support. This will soon change, as LTE licenses will be ready in 2013, according to China’s Ministry of Industry and Information (MIIT).
For the twelve weeks ending on December 23, Apple controlled 22% of the urban China Smartphone market, with Android taking almost 3.5 times Apple’s market share.
