Apple: Reports on Android browser faster than iPhone browser is flawed

According to Blaze Software, a web performance company has revealed that Android browser is much quicker than iPhone’s very own Safari browser. The report has came after loading 45,000 web pages – 1000 websites over 3G and WiFi on Android smartphone, Samsung Nexus and Apple iPhone 4 running iOS 4.3.

Apple spokeswoman Natalie Kerris came in support of iPhone and denied the finding as flawed.

Read the statement delivered by Apple spokeswoman Natalie Kerris:

“Their testing is flawed. They didn’t actually test the Safari browser on the iPhone. Instead they only tested their own proprietary app, which uses an embedded Web viewer that doesn’t actually take advantage of Safari’s Web performance optimizations. Despite this fundamental testing flaw, they still only found an average of a second difference in loading Web pages.”
