Apple Store Offers Nest Thermostat

Nest Thermostat

As a concept, the Nest Thermostat was conceived by Tony Fadell, the hardware designer of the Apple iPod.

Fadell had left Apple in 2009. After a break he started a company called Nest Labs to make the most easy to use Thermostat that that would also save energy. The Nest Thermostat looks smart too. Nest can learn from your habits and input over time. It is also connected via Wi-Fi to your iPhone for remote control.

Sensors of the Nest Thermostat are so smart that they can know and understand when you have left the house. Nest also reads weather reports via its Wi-Fi interface and knows how the weather is where your house is. If you walk up to Nest it automatically turns on the round display.

The Nest is now also available for sales in Apple Store. It is already since a while on sale and for instance has special displays in Lowe’s hardware stores.
