Apple TV is said to be equipped with the continuity feature which Apple introduced in the Worldwide Developers Conference. Developers who installed the latest iOS 8 beta with the OS X Yosemite version, and the current Apple TV beta released yesterday spotted a pop up notification stating that Apple TV will gain few of the Continuity features released in the Worldwide Developers Conference.
According to 9to5Mac, the notifications are showing on Macs running the same local WiFi network as Apple TVs which have the latest software indicating that with Yosemite, Macs will be able to interact with Apple TV in new ways.
Though its not clear how Apple TV might interact as Continuity feature between the two are not yet functional, there is a possibility that a feature like Handoff could be used in coalition with the the AirPlay allowing a TV show, movie or music to be smoothly transferred from one divide to another.
Continuity features like Handoff seem to require Bluetooth 4.0, a feature which is available in the 3rd generation Apple TV. Yesterday’s update was only meant for third-generation Apple TVs providing much evidence that the device will be equipped with Continuity features.
