China Unicom on back foot after failing to meet high iPhone 4 demand

China Unicom is still struggling to meet the huge demand for the Apple smartphone to its pre-orders customers. Few days ago, it was reported that China Unicom has received 200,000 pre-orders for the Apple smartphone. But on Saturday it was reveal that they have only able to fulfill only 60,000 orders China iPhone 4 launch.

Well this year’s iPhone 4 has all the features as its US version, including Wi-Fi capability. That should mean fewer people would choose gray market, and resulting in higher demand for the official China iPhone carrier, if they didn’t already buy the iPhone 4 from abroad already.

Moreover, it was also reported that iPhone 4 continues to be on backorder for 3 weeks from Apple Stores and retail partners around the world.
