Last weekend, we reported that the rumors of the third generation iPad (unofficially named as iPad 3 by Apple fanboys) to be released next year on 24 February 2012, the birthday of Steve Jobs, were spreading like wild fire.
Now some new rumors surrounding iPad 3 are flying around. Various websites like Digitimes are reporting that Apple has plans to double the size of the battery in the the iPad 3. Not only that, reports say that Apple would releasing it very soon in the next month of January 2012.
The battery capacity for the high-end version of Apple’s new iPad – due to be unveiled in January 2012 – will be increased to 14,000mAH compared to 6,500mAH used currently, according to industry sources.
The “sources” of Digitimes mentioned that Apple will debut two separate models of the iPad. One would be for the high-end market and the other would fill in the mid-range segment.
However, many people also feel that rumors about January Launch have been designed and circulated to hurt current iPad sales. Apple has still not announced the release date of iPad 3. Thus, at the moments these reports should be seen only as rumors.
