Apple Expectations: Redesign iPad Pro, Mac lineup refresh, iPhone XR and more
October, probably means a whole new round of hardware updates is from Apple. Thus, within the last month, packed with iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, where Apple Watch Series 4, iOS 12, watchOS 5, tvOS 12, and macOS Mojave. This month the cheaper and more colourful iPhone XR hits the market is where there are even more hardware and software updates expected. This includes big news for iPad and Mac — and possibly even an October Apple event.
Update with event details, iPad mini 5 and AirPower reports, and Mac model references.
October Apple Event?
Apple with annual iPhone and Apple Watch event in September, but Mac and iPad Pro hardware not updated. Hence, there are plenty of Mac and iPad rumours – where Apple uses it in October shows updates to these products.
Apple releases a new hardware where a press release and private press briefing, redesigned iPad and all-new MacBook with sure stage time.
If Apple holds an October event this year, the final expectation happens? Two years ago is where Apple had a second fall in the event on October 27 (Thursday) after the announcement on October 19 (Wednesday).

iPhone XR Launch
iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max with its launch on September 21, where the iPhone XR needs a little more production time is a release. Pre-orders start on October 19 (Friday) with iPhone XR hits stores and reach customers a week later on October 26 (Friday).
With an event around October 16 with other new hardware pre-ordered and released on the same dates as iPhone XR — speculates at this point.
When iPhone XR with customers has an iPhone X-style phone where there are Face ID and the full-screen display without the iPhone X price. iPhone X thus starts at $749 versus $999 up for iPhone XS. Hence iPhone XR comes with six colour options: black, white, red, yellow, blue, and coral.
This phone likely proves popular where it is faster than iPhone X with a major redesign from iPhone 8 and earlier. Thus, a large 6.1-inch display shows the amount of content as much pricier iPhone XS Max is.
iPad Pro Redesign
We expect seeing two versions of iPad Pro introduced this month: a new 11-inch size and a redesigned 12.9-inch size. This is where huge upgrade for the iPad Pro is.
Both models expect features Face ID and all-screen design where there is no notch, discontinues Touch ID, and even change the Smart Connector possibly replaces the Lightning port with a USB-C port.
iPad Pro comes in two sizes: 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch. With smaller version replaces the original 9.7-inch iPad Pro whereas the 12.9-inch version persisted for two generations.
Hence, Apple expects shrinkage of the bezels of the 12.9-inch version. This creates an overall smaller casing. This replaces the 10.5-inch model with full-screen 11-inch version. This probably is the right call with a larger version admitting big and heavy now — being factored less noticeable on the smaller version.
Finally, this month where the market brings some answer with a lot of questions being lined up. Apple upgrades the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro in July, adds TrueTone display, Hey Siri, and higher core options without an event. With one new Mac design introduces this month, however, worth showcasing.
Apple currently makes a computer called MacBook — the 12-inch Retina version — and a 13-inch version. This replaces the MacBook Air on the way. Hence rumoured with prices is all over the $1000-$1500 range, and recent rumours feature Touch ID (without the Touch Bar) suggestive won’t be entry-level.
One big mystery with this, Mac happens to the MacBook Air, 12-inch MacBook, and Touch Bar-less MacBook Pro. The latter two Macs start at $1299 and the MacBook Air — beloved which has not been refreshed in years.
With speaking of Macs which is not touched in years, especially is true for Mac Mini. Thus if you walk into an Apple Store buys new Mac Mini in 2018, where you buy hardware from 2014. We expect Mac mini finally updates fall with modern specs seeing its starting price climb.
iMac with an update where at least one rumour says is new hardware including “significant display-performance upgrades” in any way. The rumour where pre-date MacBook Pro gains TrueTone display support adjusted with colour temperature on ambient lighting. Thus with not totally clear on how it refers is with TrueTone on the iMac.
Apple last upgrades iMac lineup in June 2017. This is with WWDC event and the iMac Pro hits the market in December 2017. Thus, there is a possibility of update seeing both versions this month. Hence, this rumours of iMac Pro hardware upgraded and not surfaced. This is with the machine under a year old within this point.
What’s more likely iMac Pro updates alongside is the introduction of the 2019 Mac Pro. Thus with 2019 Mac Pro, not a rumour instead of a product Apple already announces without unveiling it.
This screen-less desktop Mac hence replaces 2013 Mac Pro. This features a modular design of sort —Apple makes a new pro display with part commitment to pro users.
