Flappy Bird’s game developer, Dong Nguyen is reintroducing the game in August according to an update. In an interview with CNBC, he commented the new version will be a multiplayer game and ‘less addictive’ than the previous version. Apparently, Nguyen withdrew Flappy Bird from the App Stores in February due to unanticipated attention, which was personally not liked by him.
Flappy bird game is about inviting players to navigate birds through the green pipes. Though his family of clones dominated the charts for weeks, the re-launch August in will determine whether the withdrawal phenomena was a success or failure.
Nguyen confirmed in the interview that the game was downloaded 50 million times and also shared few details about the next game, which is said to be a jumping game where players will control the character leaping from building to building.
