German Student gets 10k from Apple to celebrate 25 billionth iTunes download

When Phillip Luepke downloaded the techno song Monkey Drums from iTunes he had no idea he would be presented a gift card worth 10,000 euros ($13,500) from Apple.Screen Shot 2013-02-07 at 11.04.20 AM

Phillip, 22, of Hanover, Germany, was gifted the card for having the 25 billionth download from iTunes. The iTunes music store hit its 25 billionth download in just under 10 years after being launched in the April of 2013.

Just a fun fact- 25 billion downloads is roughly equivalent to selling three songs to every living person on this planet! Impressive by any standards.

Kudos to Apple for this cool achievement!
