Google Hires Apple’s Senior Director Of Product Integrity

Simon Prakash

Google is working on a “secret project” that must need some product integrity. Project maybe as secretive as Lex Luthor’s Project 33.1 in Smallville. Possibly, that is why, Google has hired Apple senior director of product integrity Simon Prakash.

Simon has worked for Apple for over eight years. Throughout his tenure with Apple, his responsibility has been to help Apple remain the topmost brand in product quality. This seems to be the first time Google has hired such a senior-level person directly from Apple. This act of hiring is likely to nullify any agreement Eric Schmidt and Steve Jobs may have had regarding poaching employees.

It is still a mystery on what exactly is Google working why do they need such a senior level guy like Simon? This move seems to coincide with all of Google’s recent X lab stuff. Google’s X Lab is is rumored to be working on some sort of Android powered smart glasses that would feature a heads up display for relaying information from the cloud.

What do you think Google is making? Do you think Prakash will be able to do justice to the role he has been hired for? Share your ideas and guesses about project by posting comments.
