HomeBase is a business app for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. In this app, through Homepage you can add links, picture to your message.

iTunes Description:

HomeBase allows you to blast your announcements to all your social media outlets. It brings Social Media marketing to a whole new level. Blast your message out and with HomeBase you can add links and even pictures to your message. Version 1 includes: -Facebook -Twitter -MySpace -LinkedIn -Tumblr.

Homepage app description in itunes says blast your announcement to all social media outlets but still I am trying to submit my first link to my message. After a few second, all i can see is error in your url. In other app or other social networking app I can submit my links without any hindrance but here in this app is going nowhere.

The developer has added only Five social medias outlets which seems minimal. There are many top social media outlets like StumbleUpon, Delicious, Flickr and list goes on. May be the developer just wanted to finish it soon and watch Soccer or Desperate Housewives. The app look simple but hard to use.

I can mange all the problem if it was a free app but considering $1.99 is too much for this app.
If I had known earlier that it was sort of problem then i won’t waste my iOS device space. Wanted to write more on this app but the link error has stop me from going any further.

  1. As the developer, I’d like to help you. I believe the error you were seeing it when you added the link you kept the http://. If you look at the pop-up it says Enter URL (no http://).

We are always working on adding more social media outlets as we can, but sometimes incorporating the API (the code needed to make it work) isn’t as easy as some people think. We thank you for your time testing HomeBase, and hope you stop by our new support site next time you have a question about the application.ThanksJustin EsgarCEOAutriv.

  2.  I have had no issues so far with this app. I use it on my iPad 2 and post images and links to Facebook and twitter just fine. As far as the links, it tells you not to have the “http” part, that may be your issue. I am sure they will add some more sites in the future, but I only use twitter and Facebook so it is great for me in it’s current state
