How to Check the Bootrom Version of Your iPhone (Mac)

Here are the steps that has to be followed in-order on to determine the bootrom version of one’s iPhone while using Mac OS X.

Step 1.
The first step require you to connect your iPhone to the computer and put it into DFU mode.

Step 2.
Now press to select About This Mac from the Apple menu at the top left of your screen.

Step 3.
Again click the More Info..button from the About This Mac window.

Step 4.
Now you have to choose the USB from the list of Hardware Contents on the left side of the screen.

Step 5.
Press to select the Apple Mobile Device (DFU Mode) from the USB Device Tree.

Step 6.
Here, you will need the details pane, locate the Serial Number field and at the end you will see your bootrom version. It will look something like [iBoot-359.3]

  2. @Antsa: I was having the same issue, but resolved it. Hit apple logo: about this mac: more info: system report and you’re good to go.
