How To Print Directions From The Maps App In iOS5 [TUTORIAL]
Whenever you travel to a new area or a new city, you need maps to the key places or areas of your interest.
Today people like to use virtual maps like Google maps or check location on Google Earth. Over the years, people have been interested in maps that can be accessed from iPhone or iPad.
You can check maps and locations from maps app in your iPhone but checking it while driving is not a safe option. Thus, often printing the maps that you want to see is a good idea.
To make this easy for you, I share a procedure that makes it easy for you to print the directions you see on the Maps App in iOS 5. You can easily do it if you have a printer compatible with AirPrint.
STEP 1 – You should open the built-in Maps app and start tapping the “Directions” Button at the bottom. By your default, directions you want will start from your current location. The app will assume that you are driving a car but you have the option to change that if you wish to.
STEP 2 – After telling the app where you want to go, hit the “Route” button which you see on the top right-hand corner. The app will calculate the route and present the directions on screen.
STEP 3 – Tap the “Options” button that you see in the bottom right-hand corner. The map will curl up and you will find the “Print” button underneath. Tap that button.
STEP 4 – Now you can select Printer. Please note that your iPhone will find the printer only if it is compatible with AirPrint. However, applications like Printopia on your Mac can connect your iPhone with standard printers.
STEP 5 – After selecting your printer and number of copies that you want, tap the print button and your directions would be printed.
Now you do not need to worry about directions. Travel peacefully and enjoy the ride.
