Apple has launched a new beta version of iOS 5.0.1. It has been released to developers and thus, we can expect its release for the public in near future. The new version has been designed to fix the battery issues that many iOS 5 users had been complaining about for past few months.
iOS 5 was launched a couple of months ago. Many users noticed that there was some problem with the battery because the battery life was draining too quickly. Some users claimed that the battery did not last more than just a few hours after getting charged.
To rectify the problem, Apple launched iOS 5.0.1. It fixed the problem for some users but temporarily. However, it did not work for others. Many users said that they experienced new problems in their devices, meaning that iOS 5.0.1 had some bugs of its own. Apple is optimistic about iOS 5.1 fixing the issues once and for all.
The new iOS 5.0.1 Beta 2 is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad, iPad 2, iPod Touch 3G and iPod Touch 4G.
