iPad Takes 96% Of Tablets In Enterprise, iPhone 53%
iPad and iPhone have broken records in terms of sales. That is why, it should not come as a surprise to anyone if they turn out to be among the highest used devices in the corporate world.
Apple is one of the biggest tablet vendor on the planet. It has sold millions of iPads. It seems that ordinary users are not the only people interested in using iPad.
According to new figures from enterprise mobile services vendor Good Technology, the iPad made up 96% of the tablets activated at the 2,000 companies that use its services.
The iPhone also proved itself as popular in the enterprise with 53% of the smartphones activated being of the Apple variety.
The iPad has become the favorite tablet in the corporate world. iOS is gaining more enterprise-inspired security with each update. IT departments across the industry are clearly being asked to set iPads up as work machines for team members. Now, employees in corporate world use iPad not just for watching YouTube videos and browsing Facebook, but also for office work.
Likewise, the iPhone is finding itself a popular choice in the business sector. Probably, this happened due to the problems that Blackberry is facing. Currently, Research in Motion are struggling to keep pace with Apple and Google in the mobile stakes.
Unsurprisingly, the new iPhone 4S was the most activated hardware during the latest quarter, thanks to its recent release and new features such as Siri and an improved camera.
