iPad market share will drop to 20%-30%, predicts Acer chairperson.

In the morning when I took the newspaper to update myself with what’s happening in the world. I got hold of Apple tablet’s share is going to drop from 100 percent to between 20 percent and 30 percent as predicted by Acer chairpersion JT Wang.

Wang based his prediction on recent reports that Android-based smartphone shipments had surpassed the iPhone. Google’s Android mobile operating system is available on a number of devices and carriers, while iOS is only available on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

He further added that he believes a “closed platform” like Apple’s iOS will fall to an “open” one such as Google Android. Moreover Apple does not allow customization of its operating system, and must approve every application that is made available for download through its digital App Store.

He concluded his statement to Economic Daily News that a formidable competitor has yet to be released.
We just have to keep an eye on this predictions whether it hold any strong reason behind it or it’s only a business rivalry stunts to provoke.
