Apple has released MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Update 2.8.

The new firmware version will address a display flickering issue on the late 2008 15-inch MacBook Pro.

According to Apple’s slim release notes:

This update is recommended for MacBook Pro (15-inch, late 2008) models. The update resolves a graphics issue that may cause the internal display to flicker.
