Mail Archiver X: The email archiving solution for professionals

Mail Archiver, a 64-bit ready future with Mojave finally not only allows Mail Archiver archiving huge Mails. The export to File maker rewritten and makes much more robust. The handling of two monitors is much better.

The easiest way using Mail Archiver is the wizard adding an email-client or IMAP account archiving. Thus to note a fact is, adding email client or an IMAP account. The first step is the selection of the email client or the data of new IMAP account. The second step is a selection of mailboxes with the third being the step is the main data format.

The Wizard does not give an access to existing features where the most important ones you want to edit have entered then goes to the Setup. Select an Email Client for archival and the mailboxes:

Enter the information from one of your IMAP accounts.

With the third tab sheet “Data Format” select main format: Evernote, Filemaker, Internal Database, or PDF. Thus, one exports your data to another data archiving to Internal Database or PDF. Thus the export of your data archives to the Internal Database.

With quite more options as follows. Thus these are needed starting for archiving. Close the window.

Now, click on the Archive button in the toolbar.

Click on the Filter icon next to the Search field to more complex searches:

The Filter criteria either all searched or only one criterium. Thus one search for From, To, CC, Subject, Message, and Attachments. The Search “contains” search. A date search done is for a specific date or in date range with one or two dates. You thus restrict the mailboxes or one mailbox and the child mailboxes.

It is possible to search for the Mail Tags fields.

After clicking on the Filter icon is possible changing the last Filter. The Remove Filter icon in the toolbar deletes the Filter.

Ordering, thus done with the menu Browse/Order by the following entries.

User Reference: Mail Viewer

The Mail Viewer likes standard Mail client, where Mailbox bar at the left side lists of mail on the right side. Thus only one archive opens at the same time. The Mail Detail contains 4 tab-sheets with the Message Body, the Attachments, the Header and the MailTags information.

Enter Search text to the search bar either for From, To, Subject, Body or Attachment. A search for “test” finds “test” but also “testing” and “test“.

The Filter criteria either all search (“all“) or only one criterium (“any“) needs found. You, search for From, To, CC, Subject, Message and Attachments. The search has done always as “contains” search. A date search for a specific date or in a date range with one or two dates. After clicking on the Filter icon again it is possible to change the last Filter.

Ordering is done with the menu Browse/Order by, which has the following entries:

Select one menu entry and the current selection of emails as reordered. Any new search also has this order. You also reorder having a click on one of the header fields. The search order saved to the preferences.

You can reply to a selected mail in three variations. “Reply to” replies with a selected text of the message body to the author of the mail. “Reply to all” replies the selected text of the message body to the author and the CCs. “Forward” create a quoted mail without a recipient. The mail created in the currently selected mail application. Because Mozilla is not AppleScriptable, only new mail with recipient and subject created. The message body of a mail cannot set.

The selected mail moves into the trash with “Delete Record“. “Browse/Empty Trash” empties the trash.

Show All” selects records in a currently selected mailbox, undo any search.

View attachments in the attachment tab-sheet. Thus manages the change shows in size at the bottom sees information about the file type and the size. If there is an attachment not shown a picture, Mail Archiver tries getting a preview of the file. If this is not possible, an icon for the file is shown.

At the bottom of the “Attachment” tab, a button with a menu exports is the attachment of the current mail.
