Chinese manufacturer K.O. Gadget has just revealed a new hack that can make the Apple logo on the back of your iPhone 4S glow. You would have seen the Apple logo glowing on MacBooks. They can send you the kit to perform a mod. They claim that the procedure will take less than five minutes.
The mod is simple. Here, you are replacing the back panel of your iPhone. There is a transparent Apple logo in the back penal. It lets light pass through it. However, you add the trick of “light strip” to it.
There is no added thickness to your iDevice because it uses the same glass material as Apple’s. This may void your warranty, but you should check this out if you like to customize your iPhone.
Following is the procedure for the installation process:
STEP 1 – Remove the two screws that flank the iPhone’s dock connector port.
STEP 2 – Slide open and remove the rear panel.
STEP 3 – Remove the five screws near the flash.
STEP 4 – Lift up the power connector of the screen.
STEP 5 – Position the light panel. After that, connect and mount it using the 3M sticker (details will be provided by the company after you purchase).
STEP 6 – Replace the five screws near the flash.
STEP 7 – Slide on the included rear panel with the transparent logo. Now the light will be visible through it.
STEP 8 – Replace the two remaining screws that were flanking the dock connector port.
Following video shows you a demonstration of this procedure.
