Managing iTunes In The Cloud On Your iPhone, iPad Or iPod Touch [TUTORIAL]

Do you use iTunes in the Cloud? Do you keep only a part of your music collection on your iOS device and all of your collection in iCloud? Sometimes you might want to retrieve some extra music from iCloud or delete some music on your device. It is all very simple with the following procedure.

First we will go through the procedure of downloading music from iCloud.

STEP 1 – Open your music app.

STEP 2 – When you see the complete list of music that is available in iCloud, check if the track or album shows a cloud icon next to it. If it does, it means that it is not on your device but it is there on iCloud.

STEP 3 – To download the music from iCloud, select one of the tracks or albums with the iCloud icon.

STEP 4 – Now you can see the tracks with individual iCloud download labels. Clicking on one will download just that track to your device.

STEP 5 – If you want to download a whole album, scroll down. You will see a “Download All” button. Click on that and all the tracks will download to your device.

STEP 6 – When the downloading is finished, you will see that track or album no longer has the cloud icon. That is because it is now on your device and it can be played instantly.

Deleting Music from device and leave it on iCloud.

STEP 1 – Open your music app.

STEP 2 – Here, you will see the complete list of music that is available in iCloud. We are reminding you that if the track or album shows a cloud icon next to it, this means it is not on your device but is on iCloud.

STEP 3 – If it is not having a cloud icon, it means that the track is stored on your device.

STEP 4 – To remove the song or album from your device. To leave it in iCloud, swipe right to left along the album or song.

STEP 5 – A delete box will appear. Click on it and you will see the cloud icon immediately appear next to the song or album.

STEP 6 – Now the album is no longer stored on your device. However, it is available to download again from iCloud.
