Netamo has today a firmware update on Welcome smart camera. This adds support for HomeKit. Today’s firmware update (via Reddit), brings it up to version 239 for Netamo. This allows users with a live feed from the camera directed within the Home app.
With other HomeKit-enabled video cameras, is fairly limited. Within the HomeKit, there are no Home app push notifications for specific faces. Hence, trying with notifications for general motion sensing is where there is occupancy for other guests or pets.
There is slowness in rolling out hence with one needs is to keep a lookout. The app will not require an update as this simply be an over-the-air firmware update to the cameras. There is great news for Netamo users who patiently wait for an update to support HomeKit natively upon the recent observation as mentioned above.
