The new iPad will be launched in 30 more countries this weekend on 11 May and 12 May 2012.
The largest of the countries is Brazil. Brazil is seems to be a little insensitive on Apple’s part to delay the launch so long considering Foxconn’s Brazilian factories build both the iPhone, new iPad and iPad 2. However, rumors have suggested only iPhones and iPad 2s built in Brazil have received the OK from Apple to be sold in Brazil, or other countries.
Brazilian officials hoped to woo Apple and their partners to build their products in the country as this would lower the cost of the products for Brazilian citizens and create jobs for Brazilian citizens. So far that has not exactly happened. Whatever the case, 29 countries in addition to Brazil will also be able to purchase Apple’s new iPad this weekend after a long wait.
On 11 May 2012, the New iPad will be launched in Argentina, Aruba, Bolivia, Botswana, Brazil, Cambodia, Chile, Costa Rica, Curacao, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Jamaica, Kenya, Madagascar, Malta, Martinique, Mauritius, Morocco, Peru, Taiwan, Tunisia, and Vietnam.
On 12 May 2012, the latest tablet from Apple will be launched in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates (UAE).
