Are you afraid of scratches, cracks and dents that might appear on your iPhone due to mishandling? Relax! There is a solution for you.
Nissan has announced the details of the Nissan Scratch Shield iPhone case. This case is a new self-healing iPhone case for your iPhone.
You heard it right. If this case gets damaged, you would not have to buy a new one. This iPhone case will repair itself. The case has been made by using Nissan’s Scratch Shield paint. That is why, when a damage occurs on this iPhone case, the chemical structure reacts to change back to its original format. Small scratches can heal within an hour. Some big and serious scratches can take up to a week to get healed. In addition, the surface is more scratch resistant with more grip.
Nissan’s Scratch Shield paint was initially developed in 2005 with the University of Tokyo and Advanced Softmaterials Inc. Currently it is used on the Nissan Murano, 370Z and X-Trail automobiles.
The case is made from tough ABS plastic. ABS plastic is commonly used throughout the auto industry and is tougher than conventional plastic.
The compatibility of Nissan Scratch Shield iPhone case is with iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. It is being BETA tested right now. However, Nissan says the cases could be on general sale by the end of the year, provided the demand is strong.
