iPhoneinCanada has noted that the Dev Team has released an update to their RedSn0w jailbreak utility, bringing the software to 0.9.10b6b.
Those who are upset with problems they were having while using RedSn0w on their Mac OS X machines will be happy to hear this good news. The updated version brings about bug fixes for the platform:
“Update #1b: The OS X version of redsn0w has been updated to fix an issue for those running OS X 10.5.x or earlier.”
Unfortunately, the new software does not contain any additional functionality over previous versions. So A5 device owners on iOS 5.1 are still without a jailbreak. A4 users on the firmware are still limited to a tethered hack.
Nevertheless, if you are having any problem with RedSn0w on your Mac OS X computer, you may like to check out this update.
