China Mobile aims to arm-twist Apple over app store revenue
China Mobile has urged Apple to share the revenue of app store with it. So far Apple has not given this to any of its global carriers. Not giving in to the demands made by China Mobile might spell into the refusal of China Mobile to carry iPhone 4S on its network, which means that 628 million subscribers of China Mobile might be deprived iPhone 4S.
Apple slashes Q4 iPhone 4S orders
In the first weekend of its availability, iPhone 4S sold w million handsets. Strange it may sound but Apple has slashed fourth-quarter order of iPhone 4S with its suppliers. Apple has a feeling that demand for iPhone 4S would stall in the fourth quarter. Some amount of production volume from the fourth quarter in this year has been moved to the first quarter of 2012.
Technologies Patent complaint against Apple to be investigated by ITC
US International Trade Commission (ITC) announced this past Tuesday that it has voted to investigate a complaint against Apple, filed by Taiwan-based VIA Technologies. The complaint accuses Apple patent infringement and covers three patents of VIA Technologies. These three patents cover the functionality of microprocessors used in mobile phones and tablet computers.
Steve Jobs nominated for TIME “Person of the year” award
Steve Jobs has been nominated for the “Person of the year” award that is given every year by TIME Magazine. Last year, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg was honored with this award. If Steve Jobs receive this award, he would be the first person to receive the award posthumously.
