Survey reveals early Adoptors very satisfied with iPad

A survey reveals that users who purchased the iPad when it launched are more satisfied with their devices and use them more frequently

A few months back the NPD Group conducted a survey of iPad buyers and the results were revealed this week in the company’s official blog. NPD’s VP of industry analysis Stephen Baker reports that iPad customers are quite happy with their devices, with 65% of those who bought theirs soon after the April launch “very satisfied.”

The study shows that the “early adoptors” used their iPads more than 18 hours per week, and for a third, the frequency was increasing. The most popular tasks for using the iPad were e-mail, net surfing and playing games.

Baker stated, “Clearly early adopters love their iPads and are finding increasing opportunities to use them.” Moreover, he even added that early adopters, like iPad owners, follow a traditional pattern of consumer behavior and when they purchase a products it shows what they want them, not because they need them.
