It seems that nothing can defeat Apple. The total number of iPads sold for 2012 may approach, or possibly even top, 70 million units.
Last week, Apple announced record-breaking results for its latest quarter, selling more iPhones and iPads in the three month period than ever before. In fact, the sales of iPhone, especially iPhone 4S made Apple the number one smartphone manufacturer in the world (by volume).
Apple has already sold more than 40 million iPads since the introduction of the first iPad in 2010. However, now it seems that the sales of iPad are expected to go strong and may be on pace to more than double that amount by the end of 2012.
For Apple Inc and Apple Fanboys, this is certainly a good news. For US smartphone sales in Oct/Nov 2011, Apple’s iOS has taken away a significant marketshare from Android, surging from 26 percent to 43 percent.
Apple must be on Cloud No.9, given the success iPhone and iPad have achieved over the years.
