New iPhone rumors: Are we about to see an “iPhone Math?”

When it comes to Apple, one should take every rumor with a pinch of salt. This recent one suggests that the Cupertino based company has plans to come out with a larger iPhone in 2013, dubbed the “iPhone Math.”Screen Shot 2013-01-22 at 4.04.55 PM

This rumored phone would allegedly feature a 4.8-inch screen and an 8-megapixel camera. This comes from Brightwire.com, which translates stories from the China Times and Taiwan-based Commercial Times.

Apple puts an end to speculations; Says cheaper iPhone is not happening!

New iPhone rumors emerge; A cheaper iPhone in the works?

If a recent report from The Wall Street Journal is to be believed, Apple may be planning to release a less-expensive iPhone.Screen Shot 2013-01-09 at 12.29.33 PM

The report states that Apple is working on a “lower-end iPhone” that could launch as soon as later this year. It is speculated that the phone would sport a look similar to that of the standard iPhone, but will have a less-expensive body.

Judging by what Apple did with the iPad mini, Apple might build a smaller iPhone with specs of the last generations flagship model.

A cheaper iPhone seems to be the need of the hour as Apple is facing intense competition from all all fronts from handset manufacturers running Google’s Android OS.
