The new products Apple announces this month

For people who wait patiently, the arrival of a new iPad Pro or next-generation Mac, for the first, nine months of 2018 was disappointing. Except for the lightly updated MacBook Pro, which was announced in July, there was no release of Apple on any of the new products. With either lined up this year, soon change, however.

Apple in October press event every year since 2011, except in 2015 and 2017 gives a large number of hardware products where Apple still has not updated this year. Hence to the fact to note is another event, nearly guaranteed within this month.

Here are the products likely to mention at an Apple event that may hold:

iPad Pro
For months, it is to note a fact about the rumour where Apple introduces two new iPad Pro tablets this year. The first to include, a first-generation 11-inch model and third-generation 12.9-inch variant. With both featuring a near bezel-free design includes Face ID, not Touch ID. The new tablets also ditch Lightning for USB-C for the first time.

Chance of seeing: If Apple chooses not to introduce a new iPad Pros this year, there will not be an October event. Hence, 10 out of 10 chance is that one sees both tablets soon.

New Macs
Rumours say that Apple plans to release a next-gen Mac mini and MacBook Air this year. With a new MacBook, there is an offering one gets. The iMac gets a modest update. Interestingly, this year’s Mac mini one has a target in the professional market for the first time.

New Apple TV
There is no reason for Cupertino to reveal new Apple TV hardware. Thus until it is ready to announce its growth, the slate of original TV programs and its plans is to offer them. With that probably, there is nothing happening until early next year, meaning no Apple TV for now.

New audio products
Apple is almost certainly going to release next-generation HomePod-like speakers and Apple-branded headphones. Thus whether this happens this month or sometime in 2019, is always been remained to be seen. My best guess: Apple holds off until next year.

Chance of seeing: 1 out of 10.

AirPower wireless charger, AirPods case
After last month’s “Gather round” event, there is a consensus grew that Apple had put the AirPower wireless charger out of its misery. Hence, after a year in development, Apple released the first iOS 12.1 beta with the inclusion of language.

This not only suggests the accessory which was still somewhere in Apple’s product pipeline. The device hence also mentioned inside the packaging for the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.

Thus there will not be any surprise with one way or another for Apple to announce the AirPower this month. Hence, alongside, the long-promised wireless AirPods charging case is what would be of support.

Chance of seeing: 2 out of 10.

Apple’s special events held in October since 2013 were held on the following dates:
2012: Oct. 23
2013: Oct. 22
2014: Oct. 16
2016: Oct. 27

These dates hence to suggest Apple’s 2018 event is likely to be held late in the month.
