A major Microsoft complex was targeted by a thief over the Christmas period- but he ironically but made off instead with iPads made by rival tech giant Apple.
The research facility purportedly contained Xboxes, Windows Phones and Surface tablets made by the Redmond based firm. The kicker is that the thief left these devices untouched, and reportedly made off with almost $3,000 worth of Apple gear. The thief apparently didn’t take a single Surface or Windows Phone!
Two iPad 2s, two iPad 3s and one iPad 4 are reported missing during the raid near San Francisco, California between December 19 and December 26. The Apple products, with a total price tag of around $3,000, were swiped from three offices in Microsoft Building 5.
The Police are still on the lookout for the thief.
