Tim Cook Met With Samsung Executives Again On Monday To End Legal Woes
Apple and Samsung have been fighting each other over patent issues for years now. They are not getting tired.
People are fed up to see this conflict. They want Apple and Samsung to stop it now and have a truce.
Last Monday, Apple CEO Tim Cook met with top Samsung executives in an attempt to end their legal battle. Tim Cook tried to see if a middle ground could be reached between the two sides. The meeting was similar to the meeting between Tim Cook and Samsung CEO, Choi Gee-Sung.
A US jury trial between the two tech titans is scheduled for 30 July 2012. The Korea Times reported that Samsung officials had placed significant importance on the meetings, hoping to regain peaceful business ties with Apple.
While the two sides have had huge software and design disagreements over the past few years, the two companies are also dependent on each other for their success. Samsung has provided Apple with $7.8 billion in parts for products in 2012 alone.
This private meeting between Apple and Samsung came at the request of US District Judge Lucy Koh of the Northern District of California, who also requested the meeting in May.
