According to today’s press release, the news is mostly about the old list of channels from Disney/ABC and ESPN that Time Warner Cable subscribers will be able to watch but there were a couple of items that stood out. TW claims their subscribers will have “unprecedented digital access to online content and expanded Video On Demand services.”
We need to find out if we are paying for cable then are we able to access TV shows and movies from mobile devices. As a Time Warner subscriber, for now I don’t see the possibility of any additional services would be included in our standard rate.
There was also an announcement about a new authenticated service that would allow subscribers to watch ESPN channels using broadband services as well as mobile devices including iPad. Moreover, no details were given on this service or when it would launch. When further details are available, will update you. Keep connected.
