Untethered Jailbreak Exploit May be Repair in iOS 5?
Two days back, we reported about iOS 5 successfully Jailbroken by MuscleNerd of iPhone Dev Team after it was released using the limera1n exploit
MuscleNerd has also informed that the jailbreak is currently tethered, which means you need to reboot every time you connect your iOS device to the computer.
iPhone hacking expert – Stefan Esser who is responsible for the untethered jailbreak that is available for iOS 4.3.x via tools such as Redsn0w, PwnageTool and Sn0wbreeze has revealed on Twitter that Apple might have fixed the exploit in iOS 5.
R.I.P. – I just heard Apple killed the ndrv_setspec() integeroverflow and his friends in iOS 5.0b1 – if this is true the untether is dead
Apple is giving a stiff competition to jailbreaker in jailbreaking iOS devices. Meanwhile, users are still waiting to jailbreak their iPad 2, which was released few months back.
Still too early to comment for a jailbreak solution for iOS 5 as Apple plans to release to the public later this fall.
