The good thing is that you can now use Apple Pay at all the 750 Costco warehouses across the United States. The retailer is also modernizing its gas stations with contactless readers, meanwhile only a small number of these upgrade have gone live so far.
According to cultofmac, Costco told macrumors in a statement that;
“We’ve added additional mobile payment options to make your next visit more convenient; Costco members can now use Apple Pay, Google Wallet and Samsung Pay at U.S. Costco locations.”
Costco had trailed Apple pay previously at Issaquah, Washington warehouse. Where it had also tested it, at a range of other stores even though it is the first time that it has rolled out its mobile payment service everywhere.
Costco, being the second largest retailer in the world after Walmart, is definitely a good news for Costco members, because they now have an easier way to pay for their items. This fantastic adoption of Apple Pay is certainly a great turnaround for Costco from a few years ago when it had phased Apple products out of its stores. Meanwhile according to an analyst Gene Munster, it was speculated that there are approximately 38 million Apple Pay users in the United States with about 215 million on the outside.
This is indeed a great turnaround for users who will want to buy products at Costco warehouses in the United States and use Apple Pay.
